The Central Bank of the Republic of Argentina modifies the risk weighters for first-degree mortgages on properties designated as the borrower's unique, family, and permanent residence. For new financing agreements concluded and disbursed from August 1, 2006, involving disbursements up to $100,000 and not constituting refinancing, the risk weighter is set at 50% of the property's appraised value, provided the loan does not exceed 90% of that value. Amounts exceeding 90% of the appraised value are assigned a 100% risk weighter. The regulation also updates Section 3.1.14 regarding the calculation of guarantees, establishing a 90% risk weighter for new financing up to $100,000 and a 75% weighter for other financing on primary residences.
