Miscellaneous Provisions (Financial Institutions, Securities and Insurance) Act 12 of 2019
This Act amends the Financial Institutions Act, the Securities Act, and the Insurance Act to incorporate definitions and references related to proliferation financing. It inserts a new definition of 'proliferation financing' into each statute, covering the provision of funds or services for nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons. The amendments also update various sections to include the Economic Sanctions Act and its orders as they relate to proliferation financing, and modify references to combating terrorism to explicitly include proliferation financing.
