MPD Circular No. 01: Change of Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR)
The Bangladesh Bank reduces the minimum Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) for commercial banks from 3.5% to 3.0%, effective March 5, 2025. The existing weighted average CRR of 4.0% remains unchanged. This directive is issued under Section 36(1) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 1972.
