Dear Sir,
Maintenance of Cash Reserve Requirement (CRR) with Bangladesh Bank Presently, as per MPD circular No-01 dated May 04, 2010 all Scheduled banks of Bangladesh have to maintain 5.5 percent CRR with the Bangladesh Bank on a bi-weekly average basis with a provision of minimum 5.0 percent on daily basis of their average total demand and time liabilities. However, in order to achieving the objectives of monetary policy, it has been decided that with effect from December 15, 2010 the above-mentioned CRR shall be maintained at 6.00 (six) percent on bi-weekly average basis with a provision of minimum 5.50 (five and half) percent on a daily basis.
