National Database and Registration Authority (Pakistan Origin Card) Rules, 2002

The Federal Government of Pakistan issued these rules to establish a comprehensive registration framework enabling eligible foreigners of Pakistani origin and their family members to obtain a Pakistan Origin Card from the National Database and Registration Authority. The regulations define strict eligibility criteria, outline standardized application and verification procedures, and mandate the issuance of physical or dematerialized cards bearing embedded digital identity features. Furthermore, the rules stipulate tiered fee structures, specify card validity periods of five to seven years based on applicant class, and grant the Authority discretionary power to refuse registration when national security or public interest warrants.
