The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority requires pension funds, trustees, insurance companies, and other specified institutions to deal exclusively with investment management companies and investment managers approved and licensed by the authority. Institutions are warned that they have no recourse through the authority for losses, fraud, or financial crimes arising from dealings with unregistered investment managers. This directive applies to all institutions, institutional investors, intermediaries, and associations dealing with investment managers in Namibia.
