This norm requires banks and financial institutions to obtain prior authorization from the Superintendent before closing on working days not designated as holidays. It mandates that such closures be communicated to the public at least five business days in advance via national written media and prominent notices at branches. Additionally, any suspension of services due to force majeure or fortuitous events must be reported immediately to both the Superintendent and the public.
