NORMATIVE INSTRUCTION BCB NO. 183, OF NOVEMBER 12, 2021

Establishes the deadlines for the cessation of the practice that would warrant the application of a fine, for the purpose of exemption from this penalty within the scope of Pix.

The Head of the Department of Competition and Market Structure (Decem), using the powers conferred upon him by Art. 97-A, item X, of the Internal Regulations of the Central Bank of Brazil, annexed to Ordinance No. 84,287, of February 27, 2015, and considering the provisions of Art. 113, item II, of the Regulation annexed to Resolution BCB No. 1, of August 12, 2020,

R E S O L V E S:

Art. 1. For the purpose of evaluating the conduct of a Pix participant regarding exemption from the fine penalty, as provided in Art. 113 of the Regulation annexed to Resolution BCB No. 1, of August 12, 2020, the maximum deadline for cessation of the practice, referred to in item II of said article, is November 15, 2021.

Sole Paragraph. The deadline referred to in the main text is independent of prior notification by the Central Bank of Brazil to the participant regarding the conduct practiced.

Art. 2. Normative Instruction BCB No. 111, of June 8, 2021, is hereby revoked.

Art. 3. This Normative Instruction enters into force on the date of its publication.
