Notice No. 009/GGBM/98 of 16 November - Creation of New Accounts in the Banking System Chart of Accounts
The Bank of Mozambique creates new accounts and subaccounts in the Banking System Chart of Accounts to record foreign currency overdrafts on demand deposits and deposits with prior notice for residents, non-residents, and emigrants. The notice renames account 552 to include prior notice deposits and updates the scope of account 559 to cover time and prior notice deposits in foreign currency. It also establishes new subaccounts for forward operations sellers and buyers and defines specific recording scopes for forward purchase and sale operations. This Notice enters into force on November 30, 1998.
