Notice No. 1/2024
Notice No. 1/2024 prohibits payment service providers established in Portugal from applying amount limits to electronic payment transactions where the Tax and Customs Authority or the Public Debt and Treasury Management Agency are beneficiaries. This measure allows users to order payments up to the maximum unit amount authorized by each payment model and system, aligning with the 2024 State Budget Law. The Notice enters into force ten business days after its publication.
