The Bank of Mozambique mandates credit institutions to disaggregate interest expenses for national and foreign currency deposits by creating specific accounts 8000, 8001, 8010, and 8011 within the P.C.S.B. chart. Existing balances in accounts 800 and 801 must be redistributed into these new accounts based on the currency nature of the originating deposits. This directive was issued on 14 June 1994.
