The Bank of Portugal, taking into account the Government's guidelines, and using the competence attributed to it by Articles 18, 22, and 23(f) of its Organic Law, determines the following:

  1. Paragraph 1 of Article 1 of Notice No. 3/93, published in the Official Gazette (DR), 2nd series, on 20-5-93, shall have the following wording:

Article 1 - 1 - The Bank of Portugal's discount rate is set at 13%.

Article 3 - The reference rate for the purposes of the provisions of Decree-Law 311-A/85, of 30-7, is set at 14%.

  1. This regulation enters into force on the day immediately following its publication.
