Notification S.R.O.67(I)/2023: Exemption from IFRS 9 Expected Credit Losses for Circular Debt Financial Assets

Companies holding financial assets due or ultimately due from the Government of Pakistan in respect of circular debt are exempt from applying the Expected Credit Losses method under IFRS 9 to those assets for financial years ending on or before December 31, 2024. During the exemption period, such companies must instead follow the relevant requirements of IAS 39 for those financial assets. The exemption partially modifies S.R.O. 1177(I)/2021 dated September 13, 2021.
