Official Letter declaring the revocation of the authorization of MBIA México, S.A. de C.V., to organize and operate as a subsidiary insurance institution
The National Commission of Insurance and Bonds declares the revocation of the authorization for MBIA México, S.A. de C.V. to operate as a subsidiary insurance institution specialized in financial guarantee damage operations. This action follows the company's request and its shareholders' agreement on September 10, 2024, for conventional dissolution and liquidation. The revocation incapacitates MBIA México, S.A. de C.V. from granting any new insurance policies and places it in a state of dissolution and liquidation, requiring the addition of "in liquidation" to its name. This official letter must be published in the Official Gazette of the Federation and two widely circulated newspapers within 120 calendar days of notification, at the company's expense.
