The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan amends the procedure for classifying asset quality and forming reserves by defining mandatory reserve deposits as commercial bank deposits held at the Central Bank to cover potential losses. Commercial banks are required to transfer funds from their correspondent accounts to these mandatory reserve deposits in amounts equal to their formed special reserves, with calculations due on the 10th, 20th, and last day of each month. Assets are classified as "non-performing" if payment delays exceed 180 days, if the asset remains unpaid after the contract term, or if specific legal or financial conditions are met. The Central Bank may issue mandatory directives for additional reserves and enforce compliance by deducting funds from correspondent accounts and applying sanctions under the Law on the Central Bank.
