On Fundamental Improvement of the System for Preparing Personnel for Economic Sectors
The President of Uzbekistan approves the reorganization of the Tashkent State University of Economics by merging it with the Tashkent Finance Institute and the Fiscal Institute to form a new University. The new institution is tasked with training specialists in economics, finance, and taxation using international standards, with instruction offered in Uzbek, English, and other foreign languages starting in the 2024/2025 academic year. The decree mandates the creation of a Transformation Center to achieve international accreditation and a top-1,000 global ranking by 2030, while establishing a Development Fund financed by surplus tuition fees and donations.
