Resolution

On introducing amendments to the Regulation on the procedure for maintaining the National Information Database of bank depositors of the Republic of Uzbekistan and assigning customer identification numbers therein, as well as maintaining the register of bank accounts

This resolution has lost force on the basis of the resolution of the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 4 January 2023 No. 30/18 "On approval of the Instruction on the procedure for opening, maintaining and closing bank accounts" (registration number 3420, 08.02.2023).

In accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan", "On Courts", "On introducing amendments and addenda to the Civil Procedure and Economic Procedure Codes of the Republic of Uzbekistan", and the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 9 February 2017 No. 66 "On measures to implement the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 28 October 2016 No. PP-2646 'On improving the system of state registration and accounting of business entities'", the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan resolves:

• 1. To introduce amendments to the Regulation on the procedure for maintaining the National Information Database of bank depositors of the Republic of Uzbekistan and assigning customer identification numbers therein, as well as maintaining the register of bank accounts, approved by the resolution of the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 23 August 2008 No. 18/6 (registration number 1863, 27 September 2008) (Collection of legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 2008, No. 40-41, Article 414),

• to the Regulation

• to the annex

• in accordance with the amendments.

• 2. This resolution shall enter into force from the day of its official publication.

ANNEX to the resolution of the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 24 June 2017 No. 14/5

Amendments being introduced to the Regulation on the procedure for maintaining the National Information Database of bank depositors of the Republic of Uzbekistan and assigning customer identification numbers therein, as well as maintaining the register of bank accounts

• 1. In paragraph 61,

• the first subparagraph

• shall be stated in the following wording:

"61. Request type 9 — is formed by the bank at the time of termination of the activity of legal entities. In such cases, banks, on the basis of a copy of the decision on exclusion from the state register/list received from clients that are not business entities, and for business entities — on the basis of information in the "Automated system of state registration and accounting of business entities" on exclusion from the state register/list, shall suspend the activity of the client's identification number and this circumstance shall be recorded in the NIDB.".

"21" mark — in cases where, on the grounds established by Article 96 of the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, upon the application of the state tax service body, in accordance with a court decision, operations on the accounts of this taxpayer in banks are suspended, it shall be sent by the bank servicing the main deposit account through the NIDB to the State Tax Committee and to all banks where secondary accounts are opened.

"22" mark — in cases where, on the grounds established by Article 96 of the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, upon the application of the state tax service body, in accordance with a court decision, operations on the accounts of this taxpayer in banks are suspended, and these accounts are restored on the basis of a court decision, it shall be sent by the bank servicing the main deposit account through the NIDB to the State Tax Committee and to all banks where secondary accounts are opened.".
