On the Strategy of Actions for Further Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan
The President of Uzbekistan approved the 2017–2021 Strategy of Actions for Further Development, establishing five priority areas: deepening democratic reforms and modernizing state and society; ensuring the rule of law and reforming the judicial system; developing and liberalizing the economy; developing the social sphere; and ensuring security, inter-ethnic concord, and religious tolerance. The Strategy mandates the adoption of annual state programs, assigns oversight responsibilities to commissions and the Cabinet of Ministers, and requires quarterly reporting to the President's Office. The document also designates 2017 as the 'Year of Active Dialogue and Human Interests' and outlines specific measures for transparency, public participation, and legal framework improvements.
