Principal officers of all registered friendly societies must transmit copies of management committee resolutions altering, rescinding, or adopting rules to the Registrar within one month of passing, accompanied by a certificate confirming adoption according to society rules. If such changes affect the society's financial condition, officers must also submit a valuator's certificate on financial soundness or available financial information. Failure to comply with these requirements constitutes an offence under section 48 of the Friendly Societies Act, subjecting non-compliant officers to prosecution by the Office of the Prosecutor-General.
