PI-MAF-DIR-01-2017 – Gym rebates and other wellness benefits provided by Medical Aid Funds (2)
Paragraphs 5.3 and 5.4 of Directive PI/MAF/DIR/01/2017 are struck and substituted to direct medical aid funds to comply with Section 1 of the Medical Aid Funds Act with immediate effect. This amendment follows a NAMFISA Board of Appeal judgement delivered on 14 December 2017 regarding an appeal against the original directive. The directive is effective from 15 December 2017 and applies to all registered medical aid funds.
