Press Release on Results of Oversight and Supervision of Payment and Electronic Money Institutions in 2025
The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye revoked the operating licenses of seven institutions, suspended those of fourteen institutions, and required twelve institutions to obtain permission before distributing dividends. Administrative fines totaling TRY 373.2 million were imposed on seventy-two institutions under Article 27 of Law No. 6493, while twenty-nine institutions received warnings. The CBRT also submitted written applications regarding 331 cases involving suspected unauthorized payment service providers to relevant Chief Public Prosecutor’s Offices or courts.
