Proper Conduct of Banking Business Directive no. 329A

The Banking Supervision Department establishes Directive no. 329A, which applies to banking corporations and sets principles for working with mortgage consultants, defined as customer representatives. The directive requires banks to establish board-approved policies for engaging with representatives, prohibiting business-based exclusion criteria and banning direct payments or benefits to consultants. Banks must document decisions to refuse specific representatives, ensure customer presence when necessary, and clarify that representatives do not act on the bank's behalf. This directive takes effect on October 31, 2017.
