Prudential Guideline for Capacity Building of Trustees of Retirement Benefits Schemes
The Retirement Benefits Authority mandates that all trustees and directors of corporate trustees of retirement benefits schemes must complete the Trustee Development Program – Kenya to obtain official certification. Existing trustees who did not comply by 2015 must complete this training by June 30, 2016, while new trustees are required to comply by December 31, 2016. Schemes must provide evidence of compliance through the submission of training certificates issued upon successful completion of the five-day certification course.
