PS17/20: Transaction cost disclosure in workplace pensions

Firms managing money on behalf of defined contribution workplace pension schemes must disclose administration charges and transaction costs to scheme governance bodies upon request, effective 3 January 2018. Transaction costs must be calculated using the 'slippage cost' methodology, which aligns with the Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investments Regulation. Firms without the relevant information must seek it from other Financial Conduct Authority authorised firms, which are obligated to provide it.
