PSD Circular No. 01: Clearing charge for BACH transaction
The Payment Systems Department of Bangladesh Bank revises the clearing charge structure for transactions processed through the Bangladesh Automated Clearing House (BACH). Checks under 50,000 BDT, all electronic fund transfers, government-to-person checks, and checks for government receipts or utility bills are exempt from charges. A fee of 10 BDT applies to checks between 50,000 and 500,000 BDT, while high-value checks (500,000 BDT and above) incur a fee of 60 BDT for same-day clearing or 25 BDT for regular clearing. These revised charges apply from March 2013 until further notice.
