PSD Circular No. 04: To ensure customer interest for making transactions through Automated Teller Machine (ATM), Point Of Sale (POS) and e-payment gateway during Eid festival
The Payment Systems Department of Bangladesh Bank advises all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to maintain the operational status of ATM and POS networks and ensure cash supply at ATM booths during the Eid festival. Banks are required to display notices for closed or inactive ATMs, immediately inform customers if all services are suspended, and conduct awareness campaigns via mass media to prevent fraud in e-payment transactions. These measures aim to protect customer interests and ensure secure electronic transactions while bank branches remain closed for the holiday.
