De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) utilizes public warnings as a tool to inform the public about non-compliance with the Financial Supervision Act (Wft) or related regulations, prioritizing swift information to prevent or minimize losses. These warnings are published five business days after notification to the concerned financial institution, unless injunctive relief is sought or urgent publication is required. Decisions to issue a public warning can be objected to within six weeks, with dismissed objections appealable to the Rotterdam District Court and subsequently to the Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal.
