Publication of 2020 Revised Editions of Acts Citation in Instruments, Documents and Other Communications Issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore
The Monetary Authority of Singapore informs financial institutions of the Law Revision Commissioners' publication of the 2020 Revised Editions of Acts, which modernize legislation by renaming Acts by year of enactment and renumbering sections. MAS mandates that all communications with financial institutions must transition to citing these revised editions by 31 March 2022, while pre-2022 documents retain their original references. Financial institutions are encouraged to update their internal and external documents to align with the new citation standards and utilize comparative tables available on Singapore Statutes Online.
