Banks operating in the Kingdom may raise the maximum POS debit card limit to SAR 200,000 based on customer request and bank assessment. They must complete technical requirements with Mada Center, conduct tests, and submit monthly implementation reports for three months. Banks must provide a fee-free limit adjustment feature via at least one electronic channel, accessible domestically and internationally, and indicate these channels in post-circular agreements. Additionally, banks must conduct awareness campaigns for individual and merchant customers and develop fraud monitoring systems compliant with new amendments. Starting 30/9/2018, banks may raise limits above SAR 200,000 based on risk assessment, notifying the Authority of approved limits for each segment.
