The Reserve Bank of India publishes the list of Non-Banking Financial Companies classified in the Upper Layer for the year 2026-27 based on financials as of March 31, 2026 and revised criteria. The list includes entities such as REC Limited, Power Finance Corporation Limited, and Bajaj Finance Limited, alongside previous incumbents like PNB Housing Finance Limited and Sammaan Capital Limited which remain in the layer for at least five years from their initial classification. Classification subjects these entities to enhanced regulatory requirements regardless of whether they meet the criteria in subsequent years.
