The Securities and Exchange Commission of Bangladesh mandates that refunds due to unit holders after the dissolution of a mutual fund scheme must be processed via the Electronic Fund Transfer Network (EFTN). Depository Participants are required to distribute these funds to investors within three days of receipt, while margin lending institutions must provide client lists and distribution reports to the trustee within specified timeframes. Crossed checks, bank drafts, or pay orders are permitted only when EFTN transfer is not feasible, and all distributions must adhere to the timelines set in Rule 54(2) of the Securities and Exchange Commission (Mutual Fund) Rules, 2001.
