Regional Network: Recruitment difficulties have eased somewhat
Norges Bank reports that among its Regional Network contacts, the share facing recruitment difficulties has declined and fewer entities report capacity constraints. Contacts have revised down growth expectations for 2026 Q2 but anticipate a pickup in Q3, while estimating annual wage growth of 4.5% in 2026 and 4.1% in 2027. All sectors except oil services expect higher activity, though customer hesitation persists due to prospects for higher interest rates and cost growth. Contacts plan to increase employment slightly in both 2025 Q2 and Q3, with overall profitability remaining little changed compared with 2025 Q2.
