2008-11-28 | Règlement BCL 2008/N°1Added
The Central Bank of Luxembourg temporarily expands collateral eligibility criteria to include negotiable debt securities denominated in US dollars, British pounds, or Japanese yen, syndicated loans, credit instruments traded on certain non-regulated markets, assets with credit ratings of BBB- or higher, subordinated assets with adequate guarantees, and term deposits. These changes implement ECB Orientation 2008/18 and impose additional haircuts of 8% for foreign currency securities, 5% for non-regulated market instruments and assets rated below A-, and 10% (plus a 5% theoretical valuation reduction) for subordinated assets. The regulation entered into force upon publication and ceased to be in force on 1 January 2010.
