Regulation of Financial Operations Abroad for State-Owned Enterprises and Majority State-Owned Companies

The Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) renders ineffective Board Resolutions No. 006/2023, No. 120/2023, and No. 093/2024, which previously governed financial operations abroad for public companies at the central level of the State and companies with majority state shareholding, including their subsidiaries and affiliates. Public companies are now required to transfer their operations to BCB accounts abroad, for subsequent credit to USD accounts at the BCB, national currency accounts at Banco Unión S.A., or national currency ledgers of the General Treasury of the Nation. Companies with majority state shareholding must make export transfers to BCB accounts abroad, to be credited according to Article 4 of Law No. 331. Additionally, External Circular CIEX No. 4/2026 of April 2, 2026, is also rendered without effect.
