We enclose, in reference, a copy of Circular Decision No. 13633 dated May 20, 2024, concerning the amendment of:

• Basic Circular No. 7935 dated September 27, 2001 (Implementing Provisions of Basic Circular No. 7926 dated September 20, 2001 (Mandatory Bank Investments)) attached to Basic Circular No. 87.
• Basic Circular No. 9763 dated November 9, 2007 (Mandatory Monetary Reserve and Minimum Special Reserve for Islamic Banks and Their Mandatory Investments) attached to Basic Circular No. 113.

Circular Decision No. 13633
Amendment of Basic Circular No. 7935 dated September 27, 2001 and Basic Circular No. 9763 dated November 9, 2007

The Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon,
Pursuant to the Monetary and Banking Law, particularly Articles 17 and 70 thereof; Pursuant to Basic Circular No. 7935 dated September 27, 2001 and its amendments concerning the implementing provisions of Basic Circular No. 7926 dated September 20, 2001 (Mandatory Bank Investments); Pursuant to Basic Circular No. 9763 dated November 9, 2007 and its amendments concerning the mandatory monetary reserve, minimum special reserve for Islamic banks, and their mandatory investments; Pursuant to Basic Circular No. 13611 dated February 2, 2024 concerning exceptional procedures for settling foreign currency deposits created after October 31, 2019; Pursuant to the decision of the Central Council of the Central Bank of Lebanon taken in its session held on May 17, 2024;

Decrees the following:

Article One: The text of Form (10-RO) attached to Basic Circular No. 7935 dated September 27, 2001 is repealed and replaced by the new text attached to this decision.

Article Two: The text of Form (20-RO) attached to Basic Circular No. 9763 dated November 9, 2007 is repealed and replaced by the new text attached to this decision.

Article Three: This decision shall take effect as of Thursday, June 6, 2024, until Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

Article Four: This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette.
