Repayment of unlawfully obtained gain
Regulators may demand repayment of unlawfully obtained gains when the exact amount can be identified or realistically estimated. In such cases, the imposed fine or penalty may be set at twice the amount of the gain obtained by the non-compliant party due to its non-compliance.
