The Superintendency of Banks of Panama, through Superintendent Milton Ayón Wong, informs general managers of the Local Market Reference Rate for Residential Mortgage Loans for the third quarter of 2026. In accordance with Law No. 3 of May 20, 1985, and its modifications, the reference rate is set at 6.50% annually, which is the closest one-quarter percentage point to the calculated rate of 6.38%. This rate specifically applies only to loans covered by Law No. 3 of May 20, 1985, and its subsequent amendments.
