RESOLUTION NO. 002207

Authorizes the granting of a term for agricultural credit operations maturing until December 1995.

The CENTRAL BANK OF BRAZIL, in accordance with Article 9 of Law No. 4,595 of December 31, 1964, makes public that the MONETARY COUNCIL, in a session held on October 25, 1995, considering the provisions of Article 4, item VI, of the aforementioned Law, and Articles 4 and 14 of Law No. 4,829 of November 5, 1965,

HAS RESOLVED:

Article 1. Authorize the granting of a term, until January 2, 1996, independent of the formalization of amendments, for agricultural credit operations maturing until December 1995, excluding:

I - those entered into under the conditions established by Resolution No. 2,164 of June 19, 1995;

II - the EGF/COV and the values approved in processes for coverage under the Agricultural Activity Guarantee Program (PROAGRO);

III - those involving borrowers who committed credit diversion or other fraudulent actions.

Article 2. The Central Bank of Brazil is authorized to adopt the measures and issue the regulations necessary for the implementation of the provisions of this Resolution.

Article 3. This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication.
