Rule · BCB · 21 Dec 2016 · Resolução CMN 4545
Rural producers, individual entrepreneurs, and related societies must ensure their residence or headquarters are in Brazil to qualify for debt composition. Financial institutions may formalize renegotiations with repayment terms up to ten years, including a two-year grace period, at their discretion. They must assume adjustment costs and cannot renegotiate operations previously guaranteed by FGI or apply union subsidies. This authorization replaces prior rules and enters into force upon publication.
