Rule · BCB · 20 Dec 1983 · Resolução CMN 869
Credit, financing, and investment societies may contract refinancing of lease contracts up to three times their paid-in capital and reserves using exchange acceptance resources, while acquisitions of credit rights are limited to paid-in capital and reserves. Individual lessor responsibility must not exceed 10% of the financing institution’s applications, and lessors are forbidden from co-obliging themselves by guarantee, except for credit cessions or specific refinancing operations. These transactions cannot involve external loans or exchange parity clauses, and operations with affiliated lessors follow Article 22 of Resolution No. 351. This resolution replaces Articles 24 and 28 of Resolution No. 351 and revokes Resolution No. 442.

III - In carrying out the operations referred to in item I, the individual responsibility of each lessor shall not exceed 10% (ten percent) of the applications of the credit, financing and investment society.
