The Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit establishes that the central metallic composition of the ten-peso coin shall be nickel-plated steel, replacing the previously used silver-colored alloy. This change is effective upon publication in the Official Gazette, with minting commencing in the 2026 fiscal year after technical adjustments. Coins currently in circulation retain their legal tender status until withdrawn by the Bank of Mexico.
