Resolution modifying the General Provisions applicable to information requests issued by authorities under Articles 142 of the Credit Institutions Law, 34 of the Popular Savings and Credit Law, 44 of the Credit Unions Law, 69 of the Savings and Loan Cooperative Societies Law, 55 of the Investment Funds Law, and 73 of the Financial Technology Institutions Law

The National Banking and Securities Commission modifies the General Provisions to introduce a "Follow-up Letter" mechanism for tracking information requests and mandates electronic notification via the Authority Request Attention System (SIARA) or email. Authorities must adhere to specific technical standards for digital file formats (TIFF and PDF) and submit requests during business hours (9:00 to 15:00). The resolution establishes that responses are deemed received if authorities fail to acknowledge receipt within three business days, and it defines contingencies allowing for alternative notification methods when SIARA is unavailable. These changes apply to judicial, administrative, and federal tax authorities requesting information from financial entities.
