The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan branches and the National Bank Center must sell and buyback investment and collectible coins, with sales also permitted via the National Bank’s Internet store and a trading platform. Individuals and legal entities must pay the full weight of investment coins purchased via the trading platform to receive them at a National Bank branch. Buybacks via the trading platform are permitted upon application, subject to full weight payment, while buybacks at branches follow existing rules. If a collectible coin’s calculated buyback value exceeds its sale price, the buyback amount is capped at the sale price. These amendments replace parts of the April 27, 2018 Resolution No. 70 and enter into force ten calendar days after first official publication.
