WHEREAS

SOLE

That to facilitate the development of Financial Leasing, it is necessary that this service be provided not only by banking and financial entities regulated by Law No. 561 "General Law of Banks, Non-Bank Financial Institutions and Financial Groups", but also by private individuals or companies without the need to be previously authorized by the Superintendency of Banks and Other Financial Institutions, given that the financial resources placed in these operations do not come from the collection of public funds via deposits, but from the interested private individuals themselves; which does not justify the authorization, regulation and supervision by the Superintendency of Banks over these operations.

THEREFORE

The Board of Directors of the Superintendency of Banks and Other Financial Institutions, in exercise of its powers,

Has Issued the following

Resolution No. CD-SIBOIF-586-2-MAY20-2009

First: Repeal Resolution CD-Superintendencia-XLII-1-96 containing the Regulations for the Constitution and Supervision of Leasing or Financial Leasing Entities, published in La Gaceta Diario Oficial Number 199 of 22 October 1996.

Second: This resolution shall enter into force upon publication in La Gaceta Diario Oficial.
