Revised DHS Procedure to Update Status Codes A1, B, F1, F2, G, G1, I and J
Debt counsellors are prohibited from directly updating the Debt Help System with status codes A1, B, F1, F2, G, G1, I, and J, as these updates are now disabled in the system. Instead, debt counsellors must submit specific supporting documentation via email to the National Credit Regulator, which will verify the information and perform the updates on their behalf. The regulator must complete verification and system updates within seven working days of receiving all required documents, after which credit bureaus will automatically process the changes within three working days.
