Revised Guidelines on Stress Testing
All scheduled banks in Bangladesh must conduct stress testing exercises and submit reports on a quarterly basis, effective from December 2024. Banks are required to use specified MS Excel templates to submit soft copies to the Financial Stability Department by the last business day of the month following each quarter-end. For the quarters ending in December 2024 and March 2025, banks must simultaneously exercise and report stress tests based on both previous and revised templates. These requirements supersede the DOS Circular No-01 of 23 February 2011.
