Revised Remuneration Guidelines on Healthcare Consultants Rendering Particular Services to the New and Current Member of Medical Aid Funds

The Registrar issues remuneration directives capping fees for healthcare consultants introducing new members at the lesser of N$55.00 or 3.5% of the monthly gross premium, and for ongoing services at the lesser of N$35.00 or 1.75% of the monthly gross premium. Payments for new members are restricted to a twelve-month period following introduction and must be made strictly on a month-to-month basis upon receipt of premiums, with any advancement or annualization of remuneration strictly prohibited. Medical aid funds and administrators are forbidden from appointing consultants without express member consent, and non-compliance may result in the suspension or deregistration of registrations and forensic investigations to recover contravening payments.
