The Superintendent of Banking, Insurance and
Private Pension Fund Administrators

WHEREAS:
That, in accordance with numeral 13 of article 349 of the General Law of the Financial System and the Insurance System and Organic Law of the Superintendency of Banking and Insurance -Law No. 26702 and its amendments,- hereinafter the General Law, it is the Superintendent's attribution to issue general rules to specify the preparation, presentation and publicity of financial statements and any other complementary information, ensuring that the real economic-financial situation of the companies is reflected; That, by means of SBS Resolution No. 348-95 and amending regulations, the "Chart of Accounts for insurance system companies" was approved; That, it is considered necessary to modify the Chart of Accounts in order to have a uniform record and better identification of deferred acquisition costs, as well as to establish guidelines for their treatment, which must be included in the accounting policy of insurance companies; That, likewise, it is necessary to specify the accounting treatment applicable to said costs, establishing criteria for their adequate recognition, deferral and recording, in order to improve the comparability of financial information and ensure its concordance with current regulatory provisions; That, in order to gather opinions from the general public, SBS Resolution No. 1692-2026 ordered the publication of the draft resolution on the matter on the Superintendency's digital headquarters, under the provisions of the Thirty-Second Final and Complementary Provision of the General Law and Supreme Decree No. 009-2024-JUS; With the approval of the Assistant Superintendencies of Insurance, and of Regulation and Legal Affairs, as well as the Economic Studies Management; and, In use of the attribution conferred by numeral 13 of article 349 of the General Law; RESOLVES:
Article First. - To modify the Chart of Accounts for Insurance System Companies, approved by SBS Resolution No. 348-95 and amending regulations, in accordance with the provisions of the Annex that forms an integral part of this Resolution.

Article Second. - This Resolution enters into force starting from the financial information corresponding to the month of January 2027. The modifications approved by this Resolution do not affect the balances of deferred acquisition costs recognized prior to its entry into force, which will continue to be recorded in accordance with the provisions applicable at the time of their recognition.
