Rule · SBS · 9 Jun 2005 · Resolución SBS 829-2005
Insurance companies must set investment policies with diversification criteria based on effective equity limits by category and insurance line. Limits reduce by 50% for issuers in the company’s economic group, and indirect exposures count as direct investments. Mixed companies apply limits independently per line. Companies must report monthly via SUCAVE using Annex ES-6. Those with excesses at entry into force cannot make new investments in those issuers and must submit a Board-approved adaptation plan within 120 days to eliminate excesses within two years. Non-compliance is a serious offense sanctioned under the Sanctions Regulation.
