SGDB N°035/2016: New BCB Digital Certificate for the Payment System

The Central Bank of Bolivia requires financial entities participating in the Integrated Payment Settlement System (LIP) to adopt a new digital certificate effective August 17, 2016. Entities using Web Services must schedule the certificate exchange in the presence of a Public Notary. The new certificates must utilize RSA 2048-bit keys, SHA256withRSA signatures, and have a two-year validity period, with specific subject attribute formats mandated for transaction and revocation certificates.
